The 3.0 was real common, and a real tough engine, you'll be able to find a donor if it comes to it.

I think I was getting panicky over nothing...Thankfully.. I put about 100 miles or so on the truck in the last day or 2, and the oil level looks fine.

I don't think it actually dropped at all.. It just looked a little funny checking it when I had a cold motor, started it for about 2 minutes, then killed it. Might have looked a little lower from the stance of how the truck was parked and a little slushy from water separation.

I'll change the oil in the next few hundred miles once I'm sure all is ok.

Just a little on edge with all the work I've put in the truck.. Would hate to have to change motors now. Especially since this one only has 70xxx miles on it.

I got a P0402 code today.. From googling it looks like the silver sensor with 2 lines going to it on the driver side of the intake. Truck still runs perfect. I'll just grab another next time I'm in the junkyard.

Okay im new to forums in general. So i hope anybody and everybody can see this and HELP ME OUT!!!! One day i lost half my power, but it was still running fine (not spitting and sputtering). Smelled antifreeze burning everytime i drove it, using up antifreeze like hell. bought some stop leak and was flushing out the radiator to do it, on my 6th flush of the brownest nastiest shit out of it i was running it to get it up to temp. and realized there was "choclate pudding" in my intake hose. The oil mixed with the antifreeze/water and raised the oil level, filled the valve covers, and blasted through the vent hose into my intake. all the way up the dipstick

----------

I already took everything off, down to the pistons. heads, upper lower intake exhaust obviously, and my gaskets look fine on all gaskets so far. Ive looked through all these forums and everybody says "probably head or intake gasket" well apparently its not. One engine guy said it might be the waterpump/timing belt cover. I didnt know coolant ran through this but I need to know if i should keep tearing it apart and HOPEFULLY find the problem or junk it becasue the bearings are all screwed up anyway friom the antifreeze. That is just a rediculous amount of gunky oil it has to be something big. but i cant find it...
