just did the last bit of math and hit 572 miles on last tank. thats like 33 mpg i love this truck. but it is all freeway driving but i drive like 70 mph in evening on my way to work and like 60 on way home. ( in hopes the wife will be gone to work ) so i can go straight to the beer fridge and get drunk before she get home and pass out till i leave for work that night !

dont know why i told you all that but there you go!

oh i remember great gas mileage

Default Don't expect a whole lot more than that.

I've got an '05 similar to yours (3.0L Auto 4X2 Supercab). I bought it new and my MPG has varied from 18.2 to 20.6. I am religious about maintenance and drive it easy. The last Ranger I had was an '88 Supercab with 2.5L 4 cylinder and 5-speed manual. I also bought it new and treated it as well as the '05 for 17 years. As I recall, I got between 19 and 22 mpg with that truck. The window sticker on my '05 states 17mpg City and 22 Highway. Your '99 is ten years old now. There may be a few maintenance items you can perform to improve the MPG, but don't expect any miracles. Good driving and good maintenance can help. But, a lot depends on how well the truck was maintained before you got it and how it was driven.
