Hey guys,
more problems on the home front. i got a 92 ranger. whenever i drive it to school, about a ten minute drive and about 8 miles, it runs fine aside from the usual engine sputtering at about 45-55 miles an hour(anyone know anything about that, just ask and i can give more info). but if i am running late i tend to get a lead foot. i don't know the tech term for this but its when u put the pedal to the floor and it shifts up or whatever and it puts u back in your seat. when i do this i don't actually go down to the floor with the accelerator i just give it more gas. when i let the accelerator back down the engine starts to sputter. Its not acting like it wants to shut off but it acts like it doesn't want to accelerate again. i will give it gas again but it will just sputter and(what seams to me) like it is missing and it just wont accelerate. any ideas what might be causing this or anyone have the same problem and know how to fix it? i love my ranger and it sucks to see it hurt.

plugs, wires, coil?

i have brand new plugs and wires, what coil?

coil pack is what the plug wires plug into on the other end, rectangular shaped with the 6 wires going to it

how could i tell if it was bad?

you have to test it or get it tested, I had a shop do mine in my old ranger and it was shot

did it give u any noticeable trouble?
