Default tire size and mpgs

I'm looking to ways to up my mpgs from 16 - I have on my truck right now 16" rims with michelin LTX A/T 2 and I think the ranger sits to high = more drag,so I was thinking if I get new rims 15" and the same tire do you guys think I would save at the pump?.

i dont think the amount saved would be worth paying for new rims

----------

i have 15 inch rims with goodyear wranglers and i get 16/18 hwy/city mpg and twenty highway and i know that if i drove better my mpg would be better...id suggest seeing what happens if you drive perfectly (if you havent already)
