Default Broken odometer

I just picked up a 1999 Ranger 4x4 v6 automatic with alot of miles,
the odometer has been broken for at least 6 months, it broke at 237,498 miles....... the speedometer and tach work and all other gauges work fine, I dont know where to start regarding diagnosing problem and how to fix. Any help would be appreciated.....
GO STEELERS !!!!!!

more than likely the plastic drive gear has broken. best option is to get another cluster, make the mileage match what is currently on the truck, and install.

Hey, I have a working odometer/speedo. I set it to zero tho. You can turn it to whatever. PM if your interested. As for the linky^^^^^, When I took it out I did the battery method, on a brand new duracell AA it registered at 71

----------

Or, I have an entire cluster out of a 99 exploder. Miles is 164k. has 4x4 hi/low lights. It is a tach cluster.
