Default Tuner

I am looking to get more horsepower out of my 1992 3.0 ranger and was thinking of getting a tuner. I have looked at the jets' and it got bad reviews from 1992 ranger owners, i am now lost and looking for tuner advice.

Thank you in advance

Cold air intake lol jk!!! In all seriousness you could do that and it will increase power, but not as much as you think. You could also put a cheap turbo on it. Just throwing it out there.

Thanks for the reply

So a cold air intake will increase the HP just not the 15 or so that is advertised, and will you at least feel a difference after installing it?

Yes and 15% is about right. As long as you get the extension for the intake. Some people on here hate them, but they do make a decent difference.

So just changing the filter will increase performance? I was picturing a whole kit with a whole new intake set up including pipes and such.
