Ha ha ha. Well yea, you missed something alright, you would have to know stage building to understand what was being said. That was talking about "a part" of the build. Take notice of the "think of it like this" Last time I checked cams were not a part of the ignition system. . .
This was discussing specific components of specific stage builds.
In a few of my posts if you chance to see them you'll notice that it makes mention that stages require upgrades to multiple areas of the vehicle. I have been entertaining the thought of stroking the 4.0 and running a full stage 3 build but I am undetermined about it. As I am doing a specific build to increase the power to weight ratio/effeciency of the vehicle, not racing, not mudd'n and definately not show. I am sure your truck is special but you have to know all the build points that accompany a stage. For instance throwing a S/C with ported heads does not make a stage anything, not even tuned, but those parts specifically can be selected in different build stages. A person building a stage 3 rallycross car would not use stage 3 cams. . . or stage 1 for that matter. . . he would want stage 2, aggressive, yet controlled, this does not mean that his build would be a stage 2, this is an entirely different rating.
