Unhappy 3.0 no oil pressure n eng light runs like shit. HELP!

So my truck drove fine yesterday, only gave me a abs light n turn the engine off n turned back on n it was gone.
Well today around 10am. My truck had no oil pressure on my way to the dentist office. I didnt hear anything cuz I was listin to music lol but called a buddy that has a scanner since my eng light turned on wen I turn it back on the way home.
once stopped at the dentist office I check oil level n it was at 75% since I recently change the oil before winter.
I did some research be for posting this up.
The machanic guy told me it had missfiring codes, n cam position sensor code. But I didnt get the actual codes.(he then tried to buy it from me)...
From what the guy told me that my engine was gonna die if I kept drivin it so I drove home n left it there.

The problem.:
Engine has good rpm.
But sound like missfiring but it sounds more like the openin n closing of the intake vavle getting no oil.
I drove the truck for about 1.5hr to get to the dentist n back home.

Wondering if I should approch this problem by
opt#1 replacin the engine to the same one?
Opt#2 get need cam sensor n see if the oil pump is fried (replace) n check timing. Check misfiring.

If anyone else has similiar situtaion let me know what you have done or what was the solution to this problem.

Would that be replaceable? With new oil pump n cam sensor n possible timing if it turn out to be bad.

Ok so my oil pump is deff need to be replaced. Checked by putting dipstick in the eng while running n it was as I would check it if it wasnt running. So the oil is not pumping.

And I had research online n came up with, to replace the camshaft sync which is what drives the oil pump from what I see it drive a shaft down to the oil pump n makes it pump.
Ill try to replace the camshaft sync this week.
And also drain the oil n use a coffe filter to see if there metal to indicate my eng is going to needing replacement soon...

cps fo sho. you were smart for leaving it there. i wouldn't drive it until you get that fixed. it will take out your engine. the reason it runs bad is because the sensor went out and now the computer has no clue what to do. it's a common failure point, usually changed at 150k. it took my 3.0 out at 60 though

So finally was nice outside to work on the truck. Pics speak a thousand words.... Only problem is that it runnin a lil high in the rmp so I would need to align the eng n redo it since I just took it out n drop in the replacement.

Yea mine only has about 105,xxx so I could se how this could go out again in a couple thousand miles..

Did you get a Motor-craft synsor or one from Auto Zone?

Well here,what I did I got a use one from th jy... Yea I know Im cheap... Haha sometimes. But needed to make sure it was the syncro. Well my buddy has one instock at oreillys he found a cross ref. Part number FD32 brand is Richporter Technology called crank angle sensor.
Just dont know if richporter tech is a better brand than dorman.
What do you think???

So I checked out the richporter part n compared with the original. The connection for the oil pump shaft is tight on the original but small amount of play on the new cross ref. Part. So I decided im going to order a motor craft from rock auto.
