Default Not much power

My 2001 Ford Ranger seems to have little power. When I was given the Ranger it was absolutely terrible. But I have replaced the spark plugs, plug wires, fuel filter which all made a night and day difference. Before I had no power and there was a sulfur smell coming from the tail pipe. Its a 3.0 V6 and I am not real sure if its running right now or not. The RPM's still wont go up to 4 and there are times while driving that I can mash the gas to the floor and I just doesn't really respond. I am worried now that the bad plugs have screwed up the catalytic converter, or does a ranger normally have suck power?

Default Re: Not much power

Your Catalytic Convertors may be clogged... if they are you have several different options for replacement or removal

1. have Cats removed and replace section of exhaust with test pipe (cheap)
2. punch the out with a 2' extension and an air hammer (cheapest)
3. replace entire exhaust system with Catless exhaust (not so cheap)
