Other than regular upkeep and maintenance, MPG is all in how you drive. What you're getting is pretty normal. Do not expect any practical increases.

What does the capacity of the fuel tank have to do with what MPG you get??

Both of my Rangers have been great on gas. My current Ranger has the 3.0, and seems to get the same mileage as my old one. Then again, the old one was a stroked 2.3

i dont know the size of it....when you go to calculate the mpg you fill up the tank and then count how many miles you drive before you get empty then you Size of Fuel Tank divded by How many miles you drove. I was going around 200-210 miles on a tank of gas if i had a 19G(i was using this size when i was calculating) tank that would come out around 11.5mpg if i had a 16G it would come out to be 13.1mpg

That's not how you do it. Totally inaccurate.

Fill the tank. Drive. Refill the tank.

Miles Per Gallon = Miles driven divided by gallons pumped.

Sure it does. You get better gas mileage with 1 gallon left in your tank than 20.

A full tank is a 120 pounds, less than what the average passenger weighs. The difference is negligable if any at all. In the many thousands of miles I've spent staring at my ScanGauge, I haven't noticed a difference that is measurable.

yes, apparently you have. as has been explained by another poster, how much your tank can hold is irrelavent. how much you took to refill is what matters.

but different pumps will shut off at different levels, so for a truely accurate number, keep track of mileage and total gallons pumped over time. the longer you do this for, the more accurate your numbers will be.

I think Angelo was using sarcasm. Please leave room for it. Just a thought.
