Default Cylinder head rebuild

I was in need of new cylinder heads and couldn't fine any that were worth a damn on the internet for under 1000$. So I bought a spare motor and took the heads off of it. The heads aren't cracked but going to take them to the machine shop and have them redone. But wondering what you guys think I should have done to them. Such as new valve seat, valves, valve guides, springs etc... I also plan on getting them ported and polished since I just did my intake. So any advice as to what I should get done to make these heads reliable and like new would be appreciated. Thanks for any help!

Bad word but I would assume if you choose the right recommended machine shop they would be the best to advise you of your best bang for your buck.Go in and try to talk with the guy doing the work and get to know him a bit and discuss what your options are and what advice he has for you,he should be the most knowledgeable person to help you.
Just my 2¢.
Good Luck with your project. Bob
