ok here it is my gas gauge is stuck past full has been for about a year but i am getting sick of watching my mileage i have taken the dash apart and made sure its not stuck not to sure on the hole fuel system on the rangers and i dont want to replace the fuel pump which cost like $400 any ideals?

It doesn't cost $400 to replace a fuel pump. It's cheap and easy. That will prolly fix ya though. The fuel sending unit is attached to the pump inside the tank (plunger deal). That's prolly what isn't working anymore.

Ranger5572 is right.....Way under $400.00. Get a Motorcraft pump and get a buddy to help lift your bed and slide it back after you disconnect your fuel fill hose and rear lights plug and 6 bolts holding down your bed. It should take you 45 minutes and 1 six pack..lol
