Radiator Swap Questions!
Uh oh! My radiator is leaking and my water pump is conviniently on its way out. So since those need to be replaced, i want to do it more than right if possible. Since I live in the hot ass desert and I someday plan on having a good off-road truck, i want it to be able to keep as cool as possible.
What are my options for a better radiator for my 2002 3.0 V6 with out (at least major) custom fitting?? Meaning bolt on sounds nice
I have read that dillon radiators have 2 cores but Im not sure?
I have also read vague statements that the 4.0 radiator has 2 rows and provides better cooling (for a 3.0 vs stock)?
but what confuses me is on the Dillion Radiator website same radiator they have for the ranger is for both 3.0 and the 4.0.
So people with knowledge please help me!!!
(I also plan on putting a Jet 180 thermostat and wire in a Hayden electric fan that will fit in the stock shroud opening Or id make an aluminum one if needed. It will be on an automatic temperature switch but will have a manual override switch in the cab. Hayden sells the harness for like 25.00 at summit. )
