Default 3.0 Engine Problems.

Mines gone rough a few times. (Rough Idle)
First time, I changed the sparkplugs, and air filter, and cleaned the MAF and all that. Fixed the problem.
Second time, I Changed the fuel filter and that seemed to fix the problem.

third time, Most recent.
It died on me, this morning

And I'm pretty sure its the alternator. The battery level was low yesterday, and the windows were rolling up reeeaaaaaaaaaaaally slow.

And my mom had to drive it to work this morning, and got like, 4 blocks and it died on her.

Any ideas?
It got towed back to my apartment complex, sso I can go check/try to fix things. Just need some help.
Annnnd, IT doesn't start, so I don't know how to check the alternator without starting it.

you can bring the alternator to shop so they can test it.

This is 100% symptomatic of an alternator failure. You can tell for sure by jumpstarting it to get the engine running and checking the voltage at the battery with a volt meter. 13.5+ is alternator working. Less than that, you got problems.

Yeah,
After doing more reading, and messing with my truck,
I'm pretty sure its a bearing in the alternator that went out.

But for a 94 ranger, its more work than its worth to find just a bearing to buy, and replace it.

But I'm going to get the alternator checked at oreillys(checkers) and Make sure thats what it is.

Hopefully can get it running by friday.
