Default power upgrades

any one know what i can do to get some more power out of my truck? it has issues going up hills at certain speeds in certain gears, for example to go up this hill that is 40 mph i have to cruise up it in 3rd gear, not 4th cause it starts to loose power, same with goin up a 55 mph hill, i have to shift into 3rd just to make it up without losing most of my speed . any help would be nice

drop a v8 in or turbo it lol.


there are a lot of things you can do like a headers and intake or you can go so extreme as to build up the head's with bigger valves and stronger springs with a larger cam.

My 2.3l xl was doing that, turns out I had a bad coil, and the plugs were going

i never would have thought about the coil or plugs, maybe thats what makes that weird static sound when i rev up to 3500 rpm

another question popped up about gaining more power, are there any higher HP injectors for the 3.0 like they have for diesels?

well there is tom morana racing but your better off doing an engine swap.
