Default help no start problem

I have a 2000 ranger xlt 3.0 , one day I shut it off and then had to get it jumped , drove it home all I get is one click had the starter battery checked at a auto parts store they were good, so I checked fuses and relays they are good, changed the positive cable and terminals , bought a used ecm , the parts numbers are the same , the last owner broke the key off in the ignition cylinder but it would work with the other end in it, now no click and I installed a new battery in it,it a automatic and I changed the neutral switch , lights all work, will the computer need set to the vin# and I have other ignition switch I changed the transponder in the black part of the key and I have a third key but don't know if the owner had it coded?? if I have to ill go the locksmith route if I have too,i pulled the broken part out of the ignition switch, and the ignition switch under the column I changed that too, the ground wire going to the block I didn't change,

If you're getting a click the ignition is likely working ok. Simplest thing to try is take a set of jumper cables & connect the negative to the battery & the other end to the block or chassis somewhere. Be mindful of the fan, belt & pulleys. Don't want to create a new problem. If it starts you have a bad ground somewhere. Either track down the bad ground & replace or just add an additional ground or 2 with maybe some 8g wire.

Isn't the solenoid part of the starter motor?
