Default '93 3.0 rough when cold, help please.

I have a '93 3.0 5 speed with 169,000 miles. When it is first started and cold it will get a bad flat spot and stumble when I step on the gas. When it warms up, 5 minutes of driving aprox, it runs fine, smooth and good idle. Got any suggestions on where to look? the plugs are new NGK's and the plug wires are good, intake clean. thanks for the help.

I read on another site that the MAF sensor may need a good cleaning, I took it apart carefully and cleaned it with MAF cleaner, also cleaned what i think is the EGR, top drivers side of intake plenum. It was still warm when I tested it so i don't know if this will cure the cold start issues but now it idles a bit fast, any ideas on that?

you could try cleaning the idle air control valve as well, or change it see if that helps

Mine is having a similar problem to this as well, I go about 5 minutes of driving and the gears will feel kind of sluggish and when I start from a stop sign it will hesitate a bit. Just started fairly recently not sure what's causing it. After that it's fine though.

I have a 93 3.0 as well and had the same exact problem. I cleaned the idle air control valve and it helped but didnt fix it so I ended up getting a new one and she runs fine now. Might want to clean the MAF as well.
