Default 1994 XLT Manual Starts But Wont Shift

Good day, glad I found this place. Hoping to get a point in the right direction for repair. My 94 XLT will start but won't ride. It's a manual, so when I release the clutch it jerks forward as should when you stall out but it's still in neutral the whole while. It acts as if it's still in gear when in neutral. Then when I attempt to put it in gear, it won't shift. Got it to shift once but it was forced, figured that was wrong. All advice is welcome. Thank you all

If you put it in 1st gear then let out of the clutch, does it move?

It'll start to go into 1st but won't fully engage, when I let off the clutch it jerks and stalls out.

What kind of pedal pressure do you have. With the truck off, can you run the gears with the clutch depressed?

It really sounds like a clutch issue, so I'm trying to pile some info to help ya out.

It won't switch gears, it'll go thru the motions but won't fully engage any gear without forcing it in. I thought it was the clutch, but it'll start.

My dad's 94 stick shift is doing the same thing, no pressure to the clutch pedal at all. She just gave out on me yesterday, at first it felt a little soft but still shifting, then nothing at all. Truck shifts allthough not sure if they are engaging when the engine is off. If the engine is running it will not shift at all. When I tried to put it in first it would not go but I can feel the truck slightly moving as if the hears were barely engaged but of course no full shifting so no engaging. I bled the slave cylinder last night and still no change in anything. What other fluids should,i check?

It's the clutch itself...you will have drop the trans and replace the clutch.
