Default 3.0 runs rich with idle problem

My Ranger runs fine, but its running rich and need to down shift going up a little incline. The IAC, Fuel Rails, Injectors and MAF sensor has been replaced. I have sprayed carb cleaner around the engine and near every vacuum line and have not found a leak. I plan on checking the throttle body sometime this week.

I do know that the exhaust is dirty and is spitting out black soot. Would that cause any problems with the EGR?

Ok, so I do have a vacuum leak. Just checked the reading for the STFTRM and LTFTRM they both are off the the chart. It's both banks but for some reason only one side is picking it up on the O2 sensor. So I may have a bad O2 sensor as well. I was getting -0.8 to -2 something, it wouldn't stay in one place. One of my STFTRM was showing -100 which doesn't add up.

I have the exact same issue, running rich on both banks, but don't believe its from a vacuum leak. I haven't found one yet using propane. I was wondering if you might know what the specs, (voltage/amperage) should be on the MAFS at idle. I have a constant .001 at idle, and at 2500rpm it only goes to around .04. I don't know squat about these things and just learning how to use my OBD 2 scanner along with my manual. Just an old man trying to do it himself and save some $. People try to take advantage of us elderly at times if they sense we don't have a clue about what a code is. Mine started with a P0172 and then P0175 and the shop I took it to tried to sell me a new fuel pump and PCM. The BASTARDS!!! I'm now determined, with help and advice, to diagnose and correct this myself. Learning a few new things along the way as well. Any suggestions would be appreciated. 1st time on this site and hope I posted this in the correct spot. My 3.0 is the FFV. Not sure if this makes any difference or not. Thank You!!!
