Default Stressing over timing cover repair

My 1999 3.0l 2wd auto is leaking coolant at the timing cover. I'm stressing over the fan clutch removal and the crankshaft bolt removal. The fan clutch seems manageable, buy or rent the tools and it should come off. Will I really be able to loosen the crankshaft pulley bolt? I have a compressor that will do about 90 PSI, but i dont own an impact wrench. I've seen flywheel locks that might be instaled in place of the starter, is there one in particular that people have used? Will an impact wrench just work? How heavy duty of a wrench would I need? I have A/C, so the wrench plus socket would have to fit between the pulley and the condenser core.

Default Re: Stressing over timing cover repair

If you haven't attempted this repair yet, check out my thread. You can remove the crankshaft bolt by positioning a breaker bar under the passenger side frame and just barely turning the key to start before letting off (you don't want to crank the engine, just "blip" it enough to make it move a little)
