3.0 Upper Manifold

2001 ranger 3.0, the cooling hoses going to the upper manifold attach to two tubes coming out of the manifold, one of those tubes is leaking antifreeze. are these tubes replaceable. What are the cooling? can I just couple the two hoses together without damaging anything? Thank You

You can replace the hoses. That would be your best bet. I've had those leak before

It's not the hoses that are leaking, it's the tube that comes out of the manifold that the hose attaches to that has a hole in it.

Those eventually can corrode with badly maintained cooling systems. They really aren't needed/beneficial except in extremely cold climates, as their only purpose is to warm the throttle body with hot coolant to assist in warming the intake air.

They can be drilled out and replaced, but the easiest thing to do is simply disconnect them and plug them off.
