Default help

What is this area where the water is dripping? I noticed a hissing yesterday and saw steam coming from around the top and thought it was maybe one of my hose but filling with some fluid and this is what's happening. Any help is appreciated

If the drip/hiss is coming from directly above it may be a nipple/elbow near the thermostat where one of the heater hoses attaches. I'm just going fro the top of my head from an experience years ago.

Hope this helps-M5

Well the hiss at the time looked like it was coming from the top by the hoses and that was yesterday but this morning I went to fill up the radiator just to get me to work cuz I knew that steam from yeatersay would probably the fluid getting lower and I saw a small steady stream coming from I'm guessing that bottom pulley and only there. I took my nieces car and left my truck in the drive way until I can figure out what's up and what needs replacing

Check from the engine block & front timing cover on passanger side of motor. very commom on a 3.0. If it is the timing cover replace your timing chain while you have it apart. Just had to change my daughters taurus gaskets yesterday. 6+ hrs.

sounds like the waterpump could be leaking from the weep hole. if so, I rec. replacing the timing cover gasket too while you're in there.

That's what I was afraid of....should I go ahead and replace the timing chain too? Or just the gasket? Might as well replace parts while all that is gonna be taken a part right?

While you're in there and that cloase to it you might as well go all in and do it once.

Nice little chunk of change I'm about to spend on all this. Though 214,000 miles ain't bad for factory stuff. Thanks for the help y'all.
