Default Water pump size

I'm going to do the timing cover gasket because mine is leaking. Im also going to do water pump, fan clutch, thermostat, and probably the timing chain and sprockets. There are 2 sizes for the water pump and I'm not sure why. I have a 95 ranger 3.0l 4x4 5 speed with no AC. can someone help tell me what size/ why theres 2 sizes?

The only reference I saw was to the heater hose nipple. Is that what your asking about? For that one the easiest way is to measure the diameter of your heater hoses or call the parts counter with your VIN and ask. I think you could order the truck without heat that year so the smaller is probably a no heat truck and the larger is for heat equipped trucks.

Well when I tried to call my local dealership, he wasn't sure what a ranger was... so I immediately hung up, mumbled a few vulgar words about his mental capacity, and called a different dealer. but since my truck is a 95 they couldn't help me find out. so i guess ill have to rip it off and measure it. I was just hoping to order it before i start it.

Yeah I know the feeling. I have a 93 Lightning no one has any clue which parts fit what. But 95 is also a transition year from OBD1 to OBD2 lots of variations there as well.
