Hi everyone new to the forum!
Soo i am needing some help regarding my 2006 3.0L, 2wd Ford Ranger which has 167,xxxkms.
So i decided on my day off to do a little bit of maintance to my truck. I decided I would clean and reinstall the thorttle body unit as it has never been cleaned(which I now regret...
).
Anywas after removing the throttle body and cleaning it I replaced it. During reinstalling it one of the nuts fell into the refrideration unit in a spot I could no longer get to it (fail). So i installed the throttle body with one bolt missing and the bottom 2 snug(there not crazy tight or anything as I could not reach them with a wrench).
Now the truck drives like s@$!. It shifts hard especially from first to second. It sometimes shifts fine from 2 to 3rd but immediately when I reach 60km/hr it gears down to a low gear, where at this point I can smash the pedal all the way down and it wont gear down.....
Basically the engine runs really good (no weird sounds, idle etc...) but the transmission has developed another mind of its own.
I called the clowns at Ford and have an appointment on Monday, if anyone could save me this fortune that their going to charge me I would really appreaciate it!
Thanks for your time.
Paul
