Default Engine Swap Suggestions

So the 3.0L went on my 4x4 Stepside ranger. Any suggestions as to what I should put into it next? I am planning on a 3.0 but if anyone else has a better option/suggestion I'd definitely be interested in hearing about it. It's a 4x4 automatic, let me know and thanks for looking.

Lol

OP-
Depends on what you're lookin for. If you want to get the truck back on the road ASAP or are looking for ease of instal, then another 3.0 is your best bet.

If you're looking for more power/don't need the truck back right away/want to put some money into this, then a 302 from an explorer is a popular option. *Almost plug and play, and there's a lot more aftermarket support for the 302. Plus it puts down better numbers stock than your 3.0 ever will.

I'm kind of in the middle. It is my only car but I'm using a buddy of mines car right now and he doesn't need it back anytime soon. So if I'm gonna put in an engine all over agin like I did the old one I kind of want better numbers that won't take forever. I put the old engine in within 2 days so it didn't take that long lol I just forgot to do the cam synchro. So maybe the 302 would be a good option. What would I need to do do out that b**ch in?
