hey guys please help i just bought a 93 ranger with 89k on it drives great but today driving it sputtered and wouldnt rev up. than died i got it runnin snd idled it home. it wont rev up fast like 1500 rpm. sounds like its missing and some times itll pop when u give more throttle. souds like a timing issue? i put a new cap and rotor on it cause they were defiinitely due. didnt change anything. i can hear the fuel pump.... atleast thats waht i think that is. i just changed the fuel filter thinking it may be clogged. still no change. i did turn the key on with one of the fuel lines off the filter to make sure the pump is running. and it did pump a steady stream out but not sure how much pressure it should have? please help me this is my daily driver and i dont have anything else.

You want to check the fuel pressure regulator for gas inthe vacuum line. If the fpr is ok you want to do a fuel pressure test koeo, koer and you want to see how much it drops after turning off the vehicle
