Mines an '04 - 3.0L and the last speeding ticket I got, the cop had me on radar doing 97mph.....That was an expensive ticket....but for what its worth, I'm running a K & N cold air intake, and that's it as far as engine mods.

Only 90? My 96 2.3 l would get up to 98 before the limiter kicked in. It would reach 100 if you kept pushin it while it was sputtering. Haven't toped out my current Ranger, it starts to fell like it's floating around 85 and that faster than I ever need to go anyway.

If its speed you truly want, then look into a Suzuki GSXR 750, I think these things will hit 160+ right off the lot. And believe me, on a bike it feels like your doing WARP 9

no need to go that fast...but you would need a tuner.

those that say they have gone over that...well speedometers can be up to 5% off from the factory and still meet regulations.

what is your corrected speed with the tires & gears? get a tuner that will correct your speedometer. and delete speed limiter. Then maybe a scan gauge to watch the vitals and show speeds higher than the speedometer will go (ask me how I know).

Might need to replace your flux capacitor. You should have traveled back when you hit 88.

If you had to go ninety anything to pass someone, then you didn't need to pass them. What you are doing is not passing. It's called reckless driving with a side of stupid. It's also called racing. If that is your attitude, then its probably safer your truck can't go any faster than that.

Every time I read one of these threads, it furthers my mindset that my child's first vehicle will have the speed limiter programmed for 68 and the RPM limited to 2800.
