Default 98 right low beam is not working

Having trouble with my passenger side low beam headlight. The high beam works. I tried a new light bulb. I looked at my fuse box and noticed #8, my right headlamp, was missing a 10amp fuse. Thought that would fix it. No luck. Maybe the inside terminal is bad in the fuse box?

The truck was in a fender bender prior to me buying it, where the front passanger side bumper was dented in. Possible culprit?

Sounds like a broken wire some where around the fender. Turn low beams on and try to wiggle the wires around a bit and see if the light comes on at all.

If you have a 12volt tester there should be three wires going to the bulb. Try unhooking the plug in from the bulb and test for voltage. One wire should be live when high beams are on. Another one should be live with low beams on. The third one is a ground.

I'll give it a try. Do you find it odd that I do not have a fuse in the 8, right headlamp, spot? Shouldn't I have one in there regardless?

number 8 is a 10 Amp Right Headlamp/Fog Lamp System

If yours did not come with fog lights it wont use that fuse.

Ah OK. What fuse is for the main headlights?

Number 4 is the left headlight. I looked a bit more at the circuit and it appears that the daytime running lights and fog lights run through the right headlight fuse. So you are right there should have been a fuse in there.

Check number 33 also and see if it is good.

I am thinking that the low beam wiring has to run through some relays to activate the running or fog lights, you might be able to track the wires to them and see if there is voltage there.

33 is good. I'll put a fuse in 8 and mess with wiring. Thank you for the help

Found my volt meter and the culprit. I can't get any reading from the number 8 fuse in the fuse box, but I do get a reading from both low and high beam plug. How do I fix a problem like this?

How can I not get a reading in the fuse 8 housing while getting a reading from the low beam connector? Still, if I can get a reading at the low beam connector, why isn't it activating the bulb? I bought 2 brand new bulbs thinking the first was a dud. What are the chances of getting 2 new bulbs with both low beam duds

Well if you have power then the problem is not getting ground. If you had to you could run a ground wire and tap it into the ground going to the bulb.

The ground in the fuse box? Can you explain it in a little more detail for me? Electrical has always been a little confusing to me.

How is the low beam bulb connector getting a reading when slot #8 (right low beam fuse) does not get a reading? The ground on the bulb connector is OK since I used that ground when testing with the volt meter.

I thought it would be the ground on the headlight connector but that would not make sense because the high beam uses the same ground. As for number 8 they must be using that circuit just for the foglights it probable does not have power because it also requires a relay for them.

It has to be a dirty connector at the bulb. Can you try plugging the bulb into the connector without installing the bulb. Hold the bulb by the base as to not touch the glass and try wiggling the connector and bulb to see if the light comes on. You may just have to clean the terminals a little on the connection with some fine sandpaper so that it gets a good connection.

I feel like that's what it has to be. I'll give it a try. Thanks again

Just changed my connector. Still not getting anything. Could it be the #8 fuse house?

Just checked my #8 fuse housing. I'm not receiving any power from it. Is there an how-to on removing the fuse panel and checking the wires to each fuse? When I unbolt the panel, all the wires are not long enough for me to fully pull out the fuse panel.

I'm not sure how to get behind it
