you did peg me as a part thrower lol but I'm 19 gotta learn somehow.. Btw I borrowed a stethoscope and sync isn't chirping, also talked to a guy on my hunt club who is a great mechanic and he said that since it's not making noise and I don't have a check engine light it's fine for now

I don't believe I called you a parts thrower. I was inferring that American pride was a PT. To paraphrase what I called you would be more in line with "an unorganized novice"!

if it were the cam sync bad you wouldn't have some oil pressure you would have NO oil pressure.

There is a difference in going bad and bad (failed). Going bad yes you would have oil pressure and yes sometimes erratic. Bad as in failed and not in mechanical working order no oil pressure.
