Bogging down/stalling while braking hard 3.0L v6
When i have to make a firm stop either because somebody has cut me off or people stop short my truck at times will stall/bog down. Battery gauge drops, oil pressure gauge drops, everything shuts down on the truck. It only happens when i stop HARD. Does anybody else have this problem with their truck? My truck also has 183,000 miles

Check the idle air control valve, it could be bad. The sudden drop in speed and rpm's can cause the IAC to stall the motor out since if its bad it can't measure the change and adapt accordingly.

Could also be a vacuum leak at the brake booster.

Another reason I hate smartphones.
He's been gone with no update for over a month anyway. Either it's fixed or the truck is 6 feet under.
