Ok so my ranger started misfiring while I was driving pulled over still miss firing turned it off left it their for like 10 mins turned back on and it worked fine agin it did that twice...so today same thing misfired while driving but this time it continued to misfire I tuned her up last month check the coil pack it's good any ideas replaced the heads about two years ago...

Have you replaced the cam synchronizer?

Can't promise it will, but that needs to be done anyway with that amount of miles. It's at a critical point if you've been hearing a chirp you can't pinpoint.

So I got this code p0171 code bank to lean.. With this cause it to misfire?

I turned her on right now and she works fine somethings going on there

So it doesn't miss when cold but starts missing when it warms up ?

How do you know you had a misfire? A bad misfire will make the CEL flash. A misfire will also set off a "pending" code. You pulled a lean bank 1(p0171) code.

You should, change the airfilter, check air intake for leaks cracks, check for vacuum leaks, clean MAF, change fuel filter. Check frequently for pending codes. Report back.

Okay so I change the fuel filter clean the mass airflow sensor the PCV valve been driving around for couple weeks and everything seems to be fine.. I even had a smog check and pass with no problem Thanks guys!!!
