Default flex fuel sensor bad?

so recently after frying my dash wires me and my dad tore apart my dash and put new wires in and putting it all back together, i was driving it to go fishing with some friends and it died on me and i had to coast it into a parking lot. my OBD scanner tells me its my flex fuel sensor but my dad also looked around and said it could be the plug underneath the drivers seat has water in it but after it died i put it in park turned the key off and turned the truck right over. then a few feet down the road it died. my step dad changed a relay and it drove right home but now it continues to do this. what could it be?
