really 10 secounds with a 4l maybe it is the auto trans. you they take away 20% of power from the wheels. so 210hp x.20 =42 210-42 =168 at the wheels. does any one know the % decrease for manuel

My 2.3 ranger manual will go 0-60 in about 10 minutes. Its slower than a turtle riding a bicycle.

do yourself a favor and drive your 3.0 with higher than normal rpm, i shift between 3,000/4,000rpm in each gear, sorry but thats the way mine likes it.

Lol my solution to the 2.3 being slow is either don't drive it or just rev the heck outta it. But still bringing up the rpms doesnt make much of a difference. My long term solution is to just drop in a 5.0 HO motor with a 5 speed. Problem solved. I think the 2.3 is a very tough little engine, I just think the genuises at Ford could have made the plugs on the one side so you can actually get to them without removing the intake and cursing at it the entire time.

You can reach the plugs without removing the manifold. I did all 8 of mine without taking the intake off, but the cursing gets bumped up a notch with this method.
