Never towed anything, but I've had right at 1 ton of gravel in the bed on a few occasions.

Dragged my 450 Rhino on my 6X10 trailer around 70 miles, with a frame mount hitch. Right around 2000-2500#'s I estimate. Not really impressed.

Reason: Removing combined reply. Terrible feature.

1500-2000 pounds of tree limbs in the back. White oak. Really heavy stuff. Didn't really have a problem with power, but boy did she squat low to the ground! Felt like I was staring at the sky out the windshield.

Lack of power, and a little sway. Most would say no problem, but IMO, these trucks just can't cut the cheese when it comes to towing, as well as most 150/1500 whatevers. But ya, it'll pull alright, just not tow to make me happy.
Just my opinion, I'm not going to argue about it.

I have pulled a 95 f150 Reg cab long bed with a strap proly the most my truck will ever pull, let's just say I could really only use 1-3 gear just cause 4-5 were too high even when near up to speed

8000 pounds on my 07 3.0 sport... A little much for the truck but it took it like a champ haha. Only did that once and never again... Occasionally pull around a car hauler with full sized trucks and it does great

Argue? Not sure I understand. Just trying to get experiences and opinions myself.
Curious about the sway you experienced... Do you happen to know what kind of tongue weight you might of been push'n? Do you think heavier springs in the back might of helped?

I think in my case, I'm used to towing with a Superdude, a bit spoiled maybe. 10% of gross trailer weight on the tongue is close to ideal, I could still just barely lift the tongue by hand, so I just called it close, and it always worked well on the 250.
Heavier springs would help, but then ride quality degrades. LT tires would help with the sway as well with the heavier sidewalls.
I'm quite particular, maybe to a fault, when it comes to towing, so I likely shouldn't even have replied from the start.
I like my Ranger better than my '12 150, but it's just not that great for towing much, well, neither is the 150.
Since I pulled my Rhino around, I've added an AAL, but haven't hooked the same trailer and load. My gut tells me it would help, but I think I'd still be at the mercy of a short wheelbase.
I know many will disagree with my opinions on towing with a Ranger, or a 150/1500, that's why I mentioned I wouldn't argue about it.
Just my friendly opinion, not condemning anyone.

Cool, thanks. Thats the kind of info I'm looking for.
I've got a small flat-bed for occasionally towing around up to a mid-size car for short distances. Might have to do a couple of upgrades.
