Default 3.0, where to attach to engine stand?

Hey guys i just have a quick question.

I am pulling the engine out of b3000 and have the engine out and on a hoist but I need to get it onto a stand to get the bits off of it to go on the re manufactured engine i am putting in.

SO! my question is how to attach the old engine to the stand...

A newbie question i know but i don't know.

I was thinking about using the engine to tranny holes to mount the engine, would this work??? I went out and bought longer tougher bolts so that they will fit with this engine stand because the original bolts were not long enough.

Thoughts? Concerns? Comments?

All appreciated.

Thanks

-Kid64

P.s. i can attach pictures if needed/wanted. just ask!

The usual place to mount an engine to a stand are the bellhousing bolt holes on the rear of the engine block. And yes, do make sure that you use bolts that have adequate grip length on the threads.
