Baby's should really eat breast milk and formula until they can eat solids... bulking them ups probably a bad idea imo

Buy a junkyard 4.8 from a silverado. No one wants them, they go for the 5.3 or bigger 6.0. You can get a 4.8 for like $200 and pick up a 4l60e, wiring and all that's needed for not much more money.
Best part: it's an LS motor. Aftermarket support is EVERYWHERE. A cam swap and new intake with a custom tune can get you close to 500 horsepower. Get some eBay head studs from china, an LS9 head gasket, a pair of eBay turbos and intercooler to build your own turbo set up using the stock exhaust manifolds flipped forward to get close to 1,000 horsepower.

THAT SHIT BLEW MY MIND!!
For anyone curious, hot rod mag bought a junkyard 5.3, built a twin turbo kit with eBay turbos with a new intake, injectors and race gas. They got 1203 hp before they assume the boost blew the spark out of the plugs. SPOILER ALERT their 5.3 was really a 4.8 that the yard mis-labeled

Cummins 4bt with modified injectors to 160hp then a turbo of your choice, with a zf or M5OD-R2 trans and a whole lot of custom fab work, most with the 4bts in rangers have so much torque they eventually smoke the 8.8 with out proper precautions.
