Hi I just installed a new k&n 57 series fipk cold air intake in my 03 ranger xlt and it works great and all and really sounds good except for that at certain points of acceleration I hear a loud hissing sound coming from the engine. I've checked the intake for air leaks and there really isn't any and I don't really know what else to check. Any ideas?

That's the sound of you wasting money on an intake system that does nothing for Rangers.

Kind of a really shitty sound to have to hear if you ask me.

x2 I have enough noise coming off my tires don't need a hissing noise coming from my engine bay

Well at least it's not my money anyway lol. But with the performance headers magna flow exhaust and superchips flashpaq tuner it's actually not that bad
