Supercharger?
Does anyone have experience putting a supercharger on the 3.0? I just picked up an eaton m90 from the thunderbird. I know there are kits out there to mount it but there super expensive atleast the one at v6power.com is. It's about 900 dollars. And also do I need to get all new pulleys? Because I have a underdrive pulley set on. Anyone have any input?

To get 50 hp and tq is useless? And I can build the internal of the motor up and get 400hp out of it if not more...

Re: Supercharger?
Didn't think anyone makes a kit for the 3.0's anymore.
Plus, if you found an 'install kit' for $900 - that's not expensive, that cheap.
The base install kit for the 4.0 runs $1,500.
Edit: You picked up a supercharger before you found a kit to install it? How do you know you have the supercharger from the correct generation Thunderbird or even the correct type of supercharger at all?

Oh yeah? This kit was just the plates to mount the supercharger in place of the upper intake. So it was two metal plate with two spacer plates and the gaskets and hardware. I thought that was expensive for that little product.

Re: Supercharger?
Yes it would be. the 3.0 just cant produce ample amounts of power you thinking of. research it.
i would spend that kind of money on a different motor and swap.

Didn't pay much for it. If it won't fit it'll be an easy flip

You're wasting your time and money. 5psi tops is all you can do, any more and your 3.0 will blow up. If you spend the money on your 3.0 to handle more boost than that, you've spent more money than it would cost to do a SOHC swap, and you'd still make less power.

Well it came off a 3.8 so I was thinking either put it into my truck and build it up to be a powerful sleeper or buy a 3.8 mustang and build that.
