Default lower intake coolant leak

I noticed my truck was leaking coolant through a fitting on the front of my lower intake manifold... from what I know it is the exit for the coolant that runs from the top of the intake to heat the throttle body and then it T's into the lower radiator hose.... well when I tried to pull it off I fucked up the hose connection pretty bad... my question is can I bypass the fitting by plugging the hose and the connection or would I have to bypass the hoses running into the upper intake as well while I'm waiting for the new fitting to be delivered???
