the tunes are written for your mods(or lack of). There's so many advantages to tuners that the price difference between the two, make the programmer WELL worth it. A tune is written specifically for what is on your truck, so no you don't need to add anything else onto it. If you were to add an "intake, exhaust, ecu mods, etc." as you ask, then Fred would could then write you a different tune to compensate for the changes.
