Thanks guys! For 400$ I thought my son found a pretty good little project vehicle.


The truck needs some cosmetic work. A paint job for sure. There's a little damage to the bed where you can tell they had a rock come up and hit the bottom of the bed in an off road adventure. My son wants to start sanding the truck down.

One thing I need to do is take out the radiator and boil it out or remove and replace. This guy didn't take great care of the truck. Do you guys have how to sticky threads with photos? How to remove and repair type stuff? What years are these trucks compatible with? We might be doing a little pick and pull!

I'm concerned about all the cracked head talk on these forums. The truck didn't over heat on the drive back home after the purchase. We changed the oil right away. It looks like that wasn't done in forever. How can I tell if there is a cracked head? Truck fires up real nice. I didn't notice any snot in the oil.
