Default Re: Retread tires

I run retreads on my ranger. Bought them from Treadwright. Hands down the best tire for the money.

Would I buy them again? YES
Do I trust running them in the highway? YES
Do I trust driving with my kids in the truck? YES

I know you can pick to have 4 matching sidewalls but I do not think you can pick the make of tire it will be. I have 4 Wrangelr RT/S.

All of the shreaded tires you see on the side of the road come from tires that were no properly inflated and maintained.

And just a reminder. It was only a short time ago the Firestone tires were coming apart on Explorers and Expeditions. Were those retread tires? Nope, brand new factory installed.

It is not what the tire is made of as long as it is made with quality. The retreads you can buy from Treadwright (only company I have bought retreads from so only one I know) are made the same way as the tires from Goodyear, BFG, General. The only difference is that the center of the tire is used.

Like all tires proper maintance and tire pressure is the key.
