I like a lot of his music because of his lyrics (and of course his voice is pleasant enough too). His lyrics are raw and emotional, he sings about his failures, his achievements, his insecurities, etc. His songs are like an autobiography where he talks about all the good and bad in his life, and you can get an understanding for the things he goes through. EX: Hating life for being a failure, to loving life for having success, to hating life because everyone submits to him since he is a celeb, to his drug problems, etc.
I also greatly respect how much he is devoted to his daughters. Plus the fact that he routinely apologizes for things he has said or done makes him seem more legit... it's better than that whole "I'm a rockstar" attitude that is mainstream. He just comes across as real guy who has had ups & downs.
