It knocks the price down for sure. But if you think about it, name the price and if a person wants it bad enough they will pay it. All the buyer has to do (and let them know this) is carfax it, then have a mechanic look at it. The biggest thing is all states require a special inspection of the vehicle to make sure it is roadworthy. Take a look at some pics of my truck, It is a rebuild as well. It was declared a total loss through an insurance co. because simply it cost too much to repair versus what the truck was worth at the time. I lucked out buying my truck, so I am happy with it. I just cant see why someone would declare the truck a rebuild just for swapping out a bolt on bed.
