Default Power steering "low" noise

This is a fix to the low PS fluid squeal for Ranger PS pumps.

I had to replace the original PS pump in my 1993 Ranger. Tried 2 after market ( from NAPA) tried one Ford rebuilt and all whined as though low on fluid when they were not. Mechanic used vacuum pump to remove all air from system. Still whined. I found a new, not rebuilt, pump on line and had the mechanic get one and install it. Some help but still whined as though low on fluid. One day I decided to overfill the pump. This actually helped a little but not when turning. I went on line and on an off road web site found a way off roaders keep from loosing fluid while bouncing around. It entailed making the filler tube longer thus increasing the volume. I followed the instructions and the noise stopped the minute I started the truck. Has not whined as though low on fluid since. Much more enjoyable ride. If you would like to know the way it was done reply with an email address. No charge, of course.
