Default Thermostat housing

Hi i just recently took out and installed my engine
Due to repair of timing chain cassette. Its a 03 4.0l v6 sohc ford ranger 4wd. Now after installing the engine back in and linking everything up i put water in the radiator just to crank the truck and hope it starts. After pouring water in i noticed water leaking under my engine. So first thing i noticed is bad water pump. And next was water leaking from under thermostat housing where the thermostat housing sits on the engine block. Is there supposed to be a sealent there or do i put sone there? Any help thanks!.

What's up everyone! Im new to this site but I would like some feedback on my truck. I have a 03 4.0l v6 4wd ranger edge and am looking to level the front out and was just going to go for the torsion key lift but was told they are bad on the ride and suspension. So they say spindle lift is the way to go but I can't seem to find spindle lift for the 4wd any help would apreciate it on what's the best way to go.
