Unfortunately 01-02 Rangers are notorious for this it should have been a recall. They upgraded the whole cassette and chain tensioners ‘03 and up do not have this problem. After you replace the cassettes and long as you use only 5W30 and change the oil every 3,000 miles you shouldn’t have this problem again. My ‘11 has 104k and my friends ‘07 has 230k no issues with either.
