Also, ported boxes require more airspace, and will therefore be larger, something to think about in a truck. A single 10" sub and matching amp, somewhere in the 425rms, 600 peak watt range will be sufficient, given a properly sized box. With mine, i have managed to rattle stuff off the shelves in the garage with the truck parked outside, with a single 10" in a sealed box with enough airspace, and a 600 watt amp. I cannot stress enough the importance of having the proper enclosure volume for a sub to perform correctly!
