So my truck was in an accident has a newer passenger side front door. The lock hasn't worked with the remote so I got a new actuator, go to put it in and there isn't one there. I slide it onto the two prongs and keep sliding it toward the hole the pin on the actuator goes into and it wouldn't go far enough because what I think is the door ajar switch is in the way. I've tried turning it but it only locks into position there.

Am I missing something I've done these before?

For the time being I removed the door ajar switched and bridged it and taped it because it started to pour but I'd just like to know if anyone else had ever encountered this
