What should I offer him to be on the safe side regarding issues , vibration and stuck in 4x4 , known I don't need the truck badly to get my self going , just need the change for more power .

I don't want to comment on any price you should pay for the truck (it always turns into a flaming DB session). However timkin hubs are $115 each. Transfer case motor is $70. Cv shaft $50. 4wd module $150. Basically it can all be fixed at a reasonable cost.
